Roberta Mock is Professor of Performance Studies and Director of the Doctoral College at the University of Plymouth. She is also the Chair of the Theatre & Performance Research Association (TaPRA). Roberta was a founding co-director of the AHRC-funded 3D3 Centre for Doctoral Training, which focuses solely on practice-led research in the digital arts, design and performance. Her theoretical, historical and practice research tends to explore gender, sexuality and the body in performance, with a particular interest in stand-up comedy and live art.
This two-day training covers the following areas:
- Situating Practice (as) Research
- Disciplinarity, creative process and research methods
- Knowledge generation vs knowledge sharing/presentation
- Data and documentation
- Collaboration and ethical considerations
- Writing about/as practice
Day one will conclude with a roundtable on the theme of “Finding solutions to the challenges of a practice-research project”
